21.54: A cracking way to finish a disappointing campaign at Anfield for Liverpool, who fully deserved their 4-1 victory this evening.
The result takes Liverpool above Fulham and one point behind seventh-placed Everton going into the final day of the season.
Chelsea are now guaranteed to finish sixth and will have to win the Champions League to qualify for the tournament again next season.

Full-time: Liverpool 4-1 Chelsea
90+2min: They are queuing up now. Carroll delivers a fantastic cross into the centre of the box, where an unmarked Agger heads narrowly wide.

90+1min: There will be three minutes added on.

90min: It's nearly five but after Suarez and Kuyt combine in a one-two, the Uruguayan steers wide at the near post.

88min: It's amazing what confidence can do. Henderson has had a great game for Liverpool this evening and he goes close to scoring his second as his curling shot is deflected behind.

85min: Nearly an instant impact from Sterling, who after latching on to a through ball inside the box lashes over. Should do better but he can afford a smile.

84min: A wave good-bye? Maxi Rodriguez salutes the crowd as he goes off to be replaced by Dirk Kuyt. A big reception for both players from the home crowd as the two could be making their farewell Anfield appearances tonight.
Youngster Raheem Sterling also replaces Downing.

83min: A tale of two bad free-kicks. First Suarez hits the wall for Liverpool, while at the other end Essien fires way over the crossbar.
80min: From InfostradaLive:
Chelsea have lost nine PL matches this season – the same as last season. It is 11 years since they lost 10 or more matches in a single season – 11 defeats in total in 2000/01.

77min: Handbags between Ivanovic and Suarez. The striker I think is lucky to escape punishment after raising his arm to the defender's face trying to get the ball, but the Chelsea star does himself no favours by collapsing to the ground holding his face.
Even after he gets up he refuses a hand-shake offer from Suarez.

74min: And what a pass from Glen Johnson! His early 30-yard cross is perfect for Carrol, whose attempt at a first time-volley ends up skewing well wide.
In fairness if he scored that, we were looking at one of the best goals of the season - it was a difficult volley to tame.

73min: What a stop from Reina! Lukaku is unmarked in the box when he heads towards goal from six yards, but the Spaniard shows cat-like reactions to block the shot before his defence sweep away the rebound.

71min: Agger is booked after committing a clumsy foul on Ramires over on the touchline. it's in a similar position to where Chelsea scored from.

68min: A chance for Romelu Lukaku to show us what he can do now as he replaces Sturridge for Chelsea.
67min: From InfostradaLive:
Jonjo Shelvey scores his first ever PL goal in his 27th PL appearance.

64min: That's woken the home fans and the players who sound and look relaxed again.
Although Henderson is booked for a slightly over-the-top challenge.
