HISPANIA YANYAKUA KOMBE LA EURO 2012, WAIFUNGA ITALY 4-0

SPAIN HAVE WON EURO 2012

Full-time: Spain 4-0 Italy
90+3min: Nearly five but Ramos' back-heel flick from a  couple of yards out is stopped by Buffon.

90min: There will be three minutes added on - by the way, this is set to be the biggest margin of victory in a European Championship final

88min: GOAL! SPAIN 4-0 Italy
And already he makes an impact! Torres again finds himself one-on-one with Buffon but with the golden boot staring him in the face, he unselfishly squares for Juan Mata to tap home.

87min: Better late than never? Juan Mata makes his first appearance at Euro 2012 as he replaces the magnificent Iniesta.

84min: GOAL! SPAIN 3-0 Italy
There is the killer blow. Fernando Torres runs inbetween the defence to latch on to a Xavi pass, and he calmly slots the ball low past Buffon.
The Chelsea striker now needs just one more to become the out-right top scorer at this tournament.

82min: You have to feel for the Italian centre-backs here - they are dead on their feet and Spain are playing their most impressive football in this tournament. They will do well to keep this at 2-0.

79min: Pedro will be grateful he is flagged offside as he somehow fires wide from seven yards. The passing that proceeded it had the Italians ball-watching at best. Spain going for the kill.

78min: All the sting has gone from this game. I can't remember the last time Italy managed to get out of their own half.
But they are just one well-worked set-piece away though from giving the Spaniards a nervy finish.

75min: Second change for Spain as Fernando Torres replaces Fabregas.

Centre of attention: Mario Balotelli attempts to take on the Spanish defence

Second-half: No change in shape but a change in personnel for Italy as Antonio Di Natale replaces Cassano in attack.
Half-time: Spain 2-0 Italy
45min: Andrea Barzagli is forced to take one for the team as he cynically trips Iniesta to become the first Italian booked.

43min: Another Italian snap-shot, but from 20 yards this is well hit by Montolivo with Casillas doing well to parry to safety.

Clinical: Jordi Alba fires past Gianluigi Buffon to double Spain's lead before half-time
41min: GOAL! SPAIN 2-0 Italy
I accused Spain of being boring before this game but this is a football masterclass.
Italy are too deep in defence and as Xavi plays through Jordi Alba, the full-back leaves himself one-on-one with Buffon before calmly slotting past him. What a tournament he has had.

38min: De Rossi is trying to do his bit though as he feeds in Balotelli before the striker fires over from outside the box.

36min: Balotelli is struggling to see the ball so far and when he does get possession he is immediately swamped by red shirts.
The 21-year-old lacks support so far and the likes of Riccardo Montolivo and Claudio Marchisio are going missing far too often to help the Manchester City hitman.

33min: That's more testing from Italy as Ignazio Abate drills a powerful low drive from 25 yards that Casillas has to dive low to his left to parry away.

Little to aim at: Italy's Antonio Cassano fires low towards goal

31min: From OptaPaolo:
14 - Silva's goal was the earliest scored at a European Championships final since 1980 (Hrubresch for West Germany). Thunderclap.

29min: Neat skill from Cassano after he leaves Alvaro Arbeloa on his backside cutting inside in the box, but his low shot that follows is straight at Casillas. Italy at least are starting to look the more threatening.

27min: Minor scare for the Spanish. Casillas looks uncertain as he just manages to punch away a cross from Balotelli, with the keeper thankful the ball drops for compatriot Jordi Alba.

25min: First booking goes to Gerard Pique, although it does seem a little harsh despite catching Antonio Cassano late with a sliding challenge.
Italy have started to settle into the game a little bit.

23min: From InfostradaLive:
David Silva has now been directly involved in five goals at Euro 2012 (2 goals, 3 assists), more than any other player this tournament.

21min: Sad end to the match for Chiellini, who has limped off and been replaced by Federico Balzaretti.
I wouldn't be surprised if the former's injury is due to all the twisting and turning he has had to do in the early stages - he really has struggled.

19min: From OptaPaolo:
70 - Spain have won the last 70 games in which they have taken the lead - since September 2006. Uphill.

18min: Italy win two more corners though with Ramos doing well to head over the first, while Iker Casillas punches away the second.

17min: Set-pieces are going to be Italy's best chance of scoring tonight.
From a free-kick, Balotelli's pointless dummy comes a good five seconds before Pirlo strikes the wall with a shot that wins a corner.
Spain however clear their lines.

Headmaster: David Silva heads Spain into the lead in the 14th minute

Magic. Iniesta has Chiellini well beaten when he threads Fabregas through into the box, and his byline cross takes out Buffon leaving David Silva to nod home for his second goal of the tournament.

Kick-off: So after the final countdown from 10 (I'll be sad to see it go), we are underway in the Euro 2012 final.
19.45: So my prediction for the final?
Spain 2-0 Italy - in normal time too. The Spanish will learn from England and Germany's mistakes by nullifying Andrea Pirlo.

19.43: The anthems becoming very familiar now, but I will never tire of seeing Buffon give it his all for Italy. That's passion for you.

19.40: As the teams make their way out past the trophy, it's noticeable to see Balotelli lag well behind his team-mates. Why always him?
