Uongozi wa klabu ya Azam ya jijini Dar es Salaam umesema kuwa umekasirishwa na kitendo cha kuibusu nembo ya klabu ya Yanga kilichoonyeshwa na mshambuliaji wake Mrisho Ngassa na kuongeza kwamba sasa uko tayari kumuuza mchezaji huyo kwa dola za Marekani 50,000 (Sh. milioni 80).

Hatua hiyo ya Azam imekuja kufuatia nyota huyo kuonyesha wazi mapenzi yake kwa klabu yake hiyo ya zamani, ambayo ni bingwa wa soka wa Afrika Mashariki na Kati.

Ngassa aliibusu nembo ya Yanga wakati akishangilia goli la pili alilofunga wakati timu yake ikicheza dhidi ya AS Vita ya Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo na kushinda 2-1 katika mechi yao ya nusu fainali ya Klabu Bingwa Afrika Mashariki na Kati (Kombe la Kagame).

Azam imeeleza katika mtandao wake wa facebook kuwa, kitendo hicho (cha Ngassa) hakikuwa sahihi na watakuwa tayari kumuuza mchezaji huyo kwa kiasi hicho cha fedha kwa klabu yoyote ya ndani na nje ya Tanzania.

Hata hivyo, hadi kufikia jana mchana, taarifa kutoka ndani ya Azam zimeeleza kuwa hakuna ofa yoyote waliyopokea kutoka Yanga, Simba au klabu nyingine, licha ya mshambuliaji huyo kutajwa hivi karibuni kuwa ni miongoni mwa nyota wanaotakiwa na timu hizo.

Imeelezwa kuwa Ngassa amekuwa akionekana mara kadhaa ndani ya jengo la Yanga ambako huwafuata wachezaji Jerryson Tegete na Hamisi Kiiza ambao ndio marafiki zake wa karibu.

"Hakuna chumba cha Ngassa kama inavyodaiwa, ila akija klabuni mara nyingi huwafuata Kiiza au Tegete na kwenda vyumbani kwao, vyumba vyote vina wachezaji ambao wanaichezea Yanga hivi sasa," alisema mmoja wa viongozi wa Yanga.

Azam ambayo Jumamosi ilijiandikia rekodi kwa kufika fainali ya michuano iliyoshiriki kwa mara ya kwanza katika historia yake ya Kombe la Kagame, ilimaliza Ligi Kuu ya Tanzania Bara msimu uliomalizika ikiwa ya pili na hivyo mwakani itaiwakilisha nchi katika mashindano ya Kombe la Shirikisho barani Afrika.

Ngassa ambaye aliwahi kwenda nje ya nchi kufanya majaribio na klabu ya Seattle Sounds ya Marekani, aliliambia gazeti hili juzi kwamba anajituma kila anapokuwa uwanjani na anaheshimu kazi yake.

Nyota huyo ambaye pia anaichezea timu ya taifa (Taifa Stars) aliongeza kwamba anafahamu yuko Azam kikazi na ataendelea kuitumikia kwa sababu ilimsajili baada ya kuridhishwa na kiwango chake.

MANCHESTER CITY'S STATEMENT IN FULL

'Manchester City Football Club can confirm that a disciplinary hearing has been concluded in relation to a charge of misconduct by Carlos Tevez.
The charge relates to events during the Champions League match against Bayern Munich on September 27, 2011.
Following a detailed investigation and associated hearing, a disciplinary panel has upheld the charge of misconduct. Five separate breaches of contract formed the basis of the decision by the panel.
As a result Carlos Tevez has been fined four weeks' wages and has been suspended for a period of two weeks (deemed to have already been served). He has received a written warning as to his future conduct.

Carlos Tevez has been informed in writing of the decision of the disciplinary panel, and the club has written to the Professional Footballers Association for ratification of the fine.
The five contractual obligations found by the disciplinary panel to have been breached are:
1. An obligation to participate in any matches in which the player is selected to play for the club when directed by a club official.
2. An obligation to undertake such other duties and to participate in such other activities as are consistent with the performance of the player's duties and as are reasonably required of him.
3. An obligation to comply with and act in accordance with all lawful instructions of any authorised official of the club.
4. An obligation to observe the statutes and regulations of FIFA and UEFA, the FA Rules, the League Rules, the Code of Practice and the Club rules, including but not limited to breach of Rule E3(1) of the FA Rules (obligation on the player at all times to act in the best interests of the game and not act in any manner which is improper or which brings the game into disrepute).
5. An obligation not to knowingly or recklessly do anything or omit to do anything which is likely to bring the club or the game of football into disrepute or cause the player or the club to be in breach of the rules (as defined in the contract) or cause damage to the club.
Carlos Tevez has the right to appeal this decision to the board of the club. Any appeal must be made within 14 days.'

Contented manager Villas-Boas believes he now has Europe’s top strikeforce, declaring: ‘We are able to choose from the best up front. The choice fell with Torres and he responded pretty well.’

Torres had not scored in 875 minutes in the competition since netting for Liverpool against Chelsea more than two years ago.
