'I want to take one more look... I'm not going to see this again': Beaming Obama savors his second inauguration as he takes Michelle on walkabout among hundreds of thousands in D.C.

  • President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden sworn in at grand ceremony at the Capitol on Monday
  • In progressive speech, Obama vowed to fight climate change and secure equal rights for same-sex couples
  • Ceremony was attended by 700,000 supporters - a million fewer than at his first inauguration in 2009
  • President waved to supporters as he walked down Pennsylvania Avenue during Inauguration Parade
President Barack Obama today savored the hundreds of thousands of supporters gathered to witness his second inauguration in Washington D.C., grinning as he waved enthusiastically to the crowds lining Pennsylvania Avenue.
And in a moving display of his appreciation as he left his public swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol building early this afternoon, he was seen pausing a moment to look back towards the crowds and reflect on the vast sea of people before him.
'I want to look out one more time because I'm not going to see this again,' he said quietly to someone next to him as he took in the spectacular view.
The president appeared just as grateful for the support as he walked hand-in-hand with his wife as part of the Inauguration Parade, which featured floats from 60 organizations, as it snaked through the city's streets.
The parade came after Obama was sworn into office by Chief Justice John G. Roberts as the president's proud wife Michelle and two daughters, 11-year-old Sasha and 14-year-old Malia, looked on.

After he took the oath with two bibles - one belonging to Abraham Lincoln, the other to Martin Luther King Jr. - Obama addressed the crowd of supporters in an impassioned speech and urged the country to work together.
'Our individual freedoms requires collective action,' he said. 'We do not believe that in this country, freedom is reserved for the lucky, or happiness for the few... We must act together, as one nation and one people.'
'We, the people, still believe that every citizen deserves a basic measure of security and dignity... Let each of us now embrace, with solemn duty and awesome joy, what is our lasting birthright. With common effort and common purpose, with passion and dedication, let us answer the call of history, and carry into an uncertain future that precious light of freedom.'
He also announced his aims for his coming term, vowing to lead the fight against climate change and maintaining the country's strong alliances across the globe. And in a particularly progressive move, he became the first president to address gay rights in his inauguration speech.

LIVERPOOL YAIFUNGA NORWICH 5-0, YAPUNGUZA MACHUNGU YA KUPIGWA NA MAN U.

Liverpool 5 Norwich 0: Sturridge proving his worth with third goal in Anfield romp

By Joe Bernstein
Luis Suarez discovered that it pays to stay on your feet as Liverpool romped to their biggest win under Brendan Rodgers.
Suarez, taken to task by his manager after admitting diving earlier in the season, did not fall over once at Anfield despite some hefty Norwich tackling.
He also formed a threatening new partnership with £12million signing Daniel Sturridge.

The Uruguayan collected his 20th goal of the season, from Sturridge's clever dummy.
Even more impressive was his role in Liverpool's opener after 26 minutes, just as The Kop were starting to get frustrated.
Jonathan Howson took a couple of bites at the Uruguayan but Suarez ploughed on creditably. And when Elliott Bennett intervened with a desperate challenge from the side, the ball went straight to Jordan Henderson, who scored with a sumptuous half-volley.
That opened the floodgates for Liverpool, who must wish they could play Norwich every week having battered them 5-2 at Carrow Road when Suarez grabbed a hat-trick.
This time Steven Gerrard, Sturridge and a Ryan Bennett own-goal also featured on the scoresheet. Sturridge's close-range effort, after goalkeeper Mark Bunn had missed a Stewart Downing cross, meant he became the first Liverpool player since Ray Kennedy in 1974 to score in his first three appearances for the club.
He got a standing ovation when he was taken off with Liverpool already assured of the win that took them to within six points of Spurs in fourth.

Jordan Henderson celebrates his goal
'The first goal was the important one,' said Rodgers. 'It is difficult to find space early on but once you go ahead, they have to open up. It was terrific work by Suarez and a great strike by Jordan. Once we got the goal, we controlled the game.'
Having selected Suarez and Sturridge together for the first time, Rodgers could not have been happier, saying: 'Luis has been terrific for us all season but now he has got a recognised goalscorer up beside him, teams have someone else to worry about as well.
'Sturridge not only has pace and power, he's a clever player. They are a very fluid pairing. We have seen it in training.'

Norwich boss Chris Hughton saw Ryan Bennett head a chance straight at Brad Jones at 0-0 and admitted: 'Goals change games but we weren't as good as we could have been. This is the only game for quite some time where we have been clearly beaten.'
With Liverpool chairman Tom Werner making a rare visit to Anfield, there was some anxiety from the home fans about the absence of defensive stalwarts Pepe Reina and Martin Skrtel. But Norwich had not won at Anfield since 1994 and never looked like doing so here.
Sturridge started in the middle and Suarez out on the left but they changed so often Norwich did not know how to cope.

Suarez was rewarded for not falling in a heap at the first opportunity and Bennett's interception bounced up perfectly for Henderson, who took advantage with a rocket shot into the top corner for 1-0.
The interplay between Liverpool's strikers became apparent with the second, 10 minutes later. Lucas threaded a pass to Sturridge from midfield but the striker cleverly let it run through his legs.
Almost by telepathy, Suarez hardly had to break stride to collect the dummy and beat Bunn left-footed.

Grant Holt then forced a save from the under-used Jones but that was virtually the last we saw from Norwich in attack.
Worryingly for Hughton, they opened up alarmingly in the second half as heads dropped.
Just before the hour, Bunn made a hash of Downing's driven cross and the ball fell kindly to Sturridge, who tapped in. It was the youngster's third Liverpool goal.
There was still time for Gerrard to get in on the act, shooting home from nearly 30 yards with no Norwich defender closing him down.
And the ultimate humiliation was saved until last when substitute Raheem Sterling turned Michael Turner and his cross was then deflected in by Ryan Bennett.

Heartstopping moment would-be assassin aims gun at Bulgarian opposition leader's head and pulls the trigger... but victim survives after weapon misfires

  • Ahmed Dogan was giving speech at conference in capital Sofia
  • Dramatic footage shows man storming the stage and attempting to shoot the politician from point blank range
  • Weapon fails to fire allowing Mr Dogan time to escape
  • Security guards and politicians kick and beat attacker to the ground
By Richard Hartley-parkinson
A Bulgarian politician today survived an extraordinary assassination attempt when a man stormed the stage and held a gun to his head as he was giving a speech.
Fortunately for Ahmed Dogan, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the weapon misfired giving him time to react and hit the would-be assassin's hand out of the way.
Before he could attempt a second shot the unidentified suspect was tackled to the ground by security guards and delegates attending the conference in Sofia.

Television footage showed the man jumping out of the audience and interrupting a speech by 58-year-old Dogan, who has led the party for almost a quarter of a century.
In a split second, he raises the gun to Mr Dogan's head but it appeared to misfire.
The politician then knocked the gun away and fell to the floor as he attempted to flee.
Security guards and delegates rushed onto the stage where they wrestled the attacker to the ground.

A separate group surrounded a shocked Mr Dogan in a protective shield.
Politicians then appeared from the audience and begin rained blows on the suspect as he was pinned to the ground.
He was later pictured being taken away by police bloodied and bruised.
'Ahmed Dogan is in good health. Everything is under control,' Movement for Rights and Freedoms official Ceyhan Ibryamov told journalists.

Police said they arrested a 25-year-old man from the Black Sea town of Burgas who was also carrying two knives.
The liberal MRF party represents ethnic Turks and other Muslims who make up about 12 per cent of Bulgaria's 7.3 million-strong population.
Dogan is seen as one of Balkan country's most influential political figures.
Two years ago he was acquitted after a high-profile corruption trial into payments he received as a consultant for a hydro power project.
The MRF was a junior partner in the previous Socialist-led cabinet before switching to the opposition following the 2009 elections.
In 1996, former Prime Minister Andrei Lukanov was found shot dead near his home in Sofia, though attacks on politicians are rare.

LIVERPOOL YALALA 2-1 MBELE YA MAN U.

The Holland international continued his remarkable scoring spree with a close-range effort in the first half which was doubled after the break by Nemanja Vidic.

Liverpool substitute Daniel Sturridge overshadowed team-mate Luis Suarez, who began the day one behind Van Persie on 15 top-flight goals for the season, by marking his league debut for his new club with a second goal in as many matches and had a chance to snatch a point late on, but United held on grimly, if somewhat unconvincingly.

It was billed as the battle of the Premier League's two best strikers. Unfortunately it never lived up to the pre-match hype.
Van Persie - expertly and clinically - scored with virtually his first chance and could have had at least one other in the first half.
Suarez toiled in vain but never got the remotest inkling of an opportunity against Rio Ferdinand and Vidic - reunited in the centre of defence for the first time since September - with his one effort coming just before the interval and only troubling the fans in the Stretford End.
In spite of the age-old rivalry between England's two most-decorated clubs the first quarter of the game was something of a non-entity.
United enjoyed the greater dominance, as was to be expected from the home team, while not creating anything too threatening while Liverpool counter-attacked sporadically but fared even worse in the final third.
It changed in the 19th minute when, with United steadily building the pressure, the ball was worked from right to left for Patrice Evra to pick up in space.

Lethal: Van Persie celebrated his 17th goal of the Premier League season
His low cross was the perfect invitation and Van Persie did what he does best, side-footing a shot past Reina.
The statistics now adding up for the Holland international are startling. It was his 65th goal in 77 league matches, his 10th in the past 10 games, his fifth in five against Liverpool (three coming for Arsenal and the other at Anfield earlier in the season) and his 20th of the campaign.
Van Persie should probably have had another having charged through a gaping hole between centre-backs Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger to collect Ashley Young's through-ball but he uncharacteristically ballooned over.
Liverpool, possibly due to the inexperience of the likes of Andre Wisdom, Raheem Sterling and Joe Allen, appeared to crumble.
Allen, who is so often hailed for his possession statistics, passed the ball straight to Danny Welbeck and the Wales midfielder's embarrassment was only saved by a block from Agger.
Welbeck then skipped past Skrtel to fire over while Tom Cleverley saw a left-foot volley flash just wide of Jose Reina's left-hand post.
Only a brilliant goalline clearance from Skrtel from Van Persie's clever backheel from Rafael's cross prevented a second, with Reina taking a hefty whack from Shinji Kagawa in the aftermath which required lengthy treatment.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side have been in front at half-time in 211 previous league games at Old Trafford and never lost (199 wins and 12 draws) so the task facing Liverpool was stark without even taking into consideration their first-half performance.
United winger Ashley Young failed to reappear for the second half - replaced by Antonio Valencia - having injured himself after recklessly jumping into a tackle on Agger, for which he escaped any punishment.
However, the more significant introduction at the interval was that of Sturridge, whose pace up front provided much-needed support for Suarez and introduced a different dynamic for the United defence.
Wisdom had the chance to make a name for himself having charged forward 70 yards to exchange passes with Suarez only to fire hopelessly wide.
Recovery: Steven Gerrard had to make a last-ditch challenge on Van Persie after giving the ball away

Within three minutes United were 2-0 up as Skrtel's foul on Welbeck on the edge of the area, which earned him a yellow card, allowed Van Persie to swing in a free-kick from which Evra's header deflected in off Vidic.
At that stage it appeared the game was up for the visitors but their first shot on target brought some hope.
A low strike from Gerrard, on a rare foray to United penalty area, was only parried by David de Gea and Sturridge used his poacher's instinct to follow up the rebound.

The change was almost instantaneous as, Reina palming away Kagawa's shot aside, Liverpool moved into the ascendancy with substitute Fabio Borini, on his first appearance since early October because of a broken foot, volleying wide.
Sturridge had the chance to snatch an equaliser and the headlines with five minutes to go after Suarez's determination saw the ball break to his strike partner but the £12million signing leant back and his effort sailed over and United escaped to consolidate their position as Premier League leaders

After Chelsea’s shock 2-0 home defeat by Swansea on Wednesday in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg, the depth of anger being felt by fans was expressed by Trizia Fiorellino, chair of the Chelsea Supporters’ Group, who said: ‘We are in turmoil and there is a danger we will lose the soul of the club.

One fan even ran down the steps of the East Stand at the final whistle and shouted: ‘**** off, Benitez’ after the reigning European champions failed to beat the high-flying Swans.
Fiorellino added: ‘The booing of Bruce Buck was universal and vitriolic. It was a serious miscalculation by someone at the club to let him on the pitch before the game.

Wildlife ranger Steve Coulson takes hold of baby snakes which were found in the childcare centre in Darwin, Australia

A childcare centre had to be closed after a family of pythons was discovered behind a wall in a room where toddlers take their afternoon nap.
The nest of 23 baby pythons and their 8ft long mother was discovered in the nursery, in Darwin, in Australia's remote Northern Territory, as a partition wall was torn down.
The search began after one of the baby snakes stuck its head out of the wall at the Mitchell Street Childcare Centre.
A wildlife ranger was quickly called by terrified staff as they made the shocking discovery.
Director of the centre Louise DeBomford said 41 egg shells were also discovered, but it was believed a few of the babies escaped.
She said: 'After a bit more of the wall was torn down, we found the mother - she was two-and-a-half metres long. So it was quite a shock to everyone.'
Ms DeBomford said the mother was reluctant to leave her babies:
She said: 'They were feisty and not too happy to leave their warm nest.
'There was a baby snake in the room yesterday morning - I thought there would have to be more than one because we had an inundation of snakes last year, about the same time.
'Then we had about 14 of them, so they must like our building.'
On that occasion, the snakes fell down through the ceiling and a nest was discovered in the roof.
The centre had to be closed as wildlife range Steve Coulson was called in to remove the snakes.
He said: 'The eggs were the size of plums, and were in clumps like grapes.
'The babies went in one sack, while a bigger sack had to be fetched for the python mum.'

Mr Coulson said the baby pythons, found on December 20, were 'pretty harmless' and while the adult snake could deliver a 'decent sort of gash', it was non-venomous.
He said carpet pythons were common around Darwin, and often found food and shelter in roofs.
'They eat possums and rats,' he said.
Staff are now keeping a lookout for about eight baby pythons believed to be still somewhere in the building.

  • Badilisha bendeji kila siku.
  • Hata hivyo, ikiwa hili haliwezekani, kubadilisha bendeji ama shashi kila siku kunatosha.
  • Kunywa vijiko vidogo 6-10 kila siku pia kumepatikana kuongeza kasi ya uponaji.
  • Pindi tuu jeraha linapokauka na linapona vyema, wacha kutumia asali
